Potion making is an art of its own. I find a useful potion is the most exciting kind. My favorite color is red, so my potions are also usually red. My current favorite potion is dragons blood ink.
It is quite exciting to pull out my morter and pestle and pound some dragon’s blood resin to a fine powder, crack some cinnamon sticks, pulverize some coffee beans and grind some black pepper for the mix. Add to that half a bottle of black cat red wine (gatto negro) and a few cups of vodka. The mix sits for two weeks getting darker and darker, not red at all! And then filter and add red food color and I have more dragon’s blood ink than I could ever use!
Every time I write with my ink pen, it smells so divine I am half way to an altered state right there.
Day before yesterday, I was out walking around my work building. Set on the center of a short lighted pillar, I found a ring. It is indeed a silver one ring. I picked it up and it is my precious now!
I am planning on bringing a ring of my own that I don’t love enough anymore to leave as an offering in thanks for this ring. I have wanted one for a long time, I even have a little gold colored one ring that is too small for me to wear. I could leave that one on the pillar.
I love finding special jewelry, it feels just as special as something given to me by my lover or bestfriend. Are they gifts from gods or spirits? Are they gifts from people who want to give a gift to the next person who finds it. If I find something that looks like it was dropped or forgotten I don’t pick it up, only when it looks like it was specially laid out on a pillar for me. Once I found a necklace perfectly laid out on a raised sewer manhole in a park. It just felt like a fey gift of some sort.
Hello there,
This journal is where I will post about spiritscraft. What crafts I am making, what witchcrafts I am participating in, and my general magical and mythological progress.
